Internship Cohort: Spring 2022 - Spring 2023

Bryce Genello is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration pursuing a degree in finance with a minor in economics. This past summer, Bryce returned to GTE after his spring internship to help the firm transition from a search accelerator to our traditional search model. Upon graduation, Bryce hopes to continue working in private equity.

Q: How has GTE helped prepare you for your professional career?

A: “Well, I didn’t know what career path I wanted to take until the end of my sophomore year. Getting into the game late was tough, but GTE gave me the chance to gain real, meaningful experience within private equity, while taking a genuine interest in myself as a professional. Every member of the team has made a true effort to set me up for success, as well as educate me in areas that were brand new to my knowledge. Working within a culture like GTE’s is a priority of mine as I search for a full-time job after graduation.”

Q: If you were to recommend GTE to others, what would you say?

A: “I would definitely recommend GTE to anyone in the Pittsburgh area based on my experiences here. GTE is a great way to get your foot in the door within the business world. Private equity is an extremely interesting industry and it overlaps with a lot of other jobs such as banking or consulting, so gaining experience in private equity can be useful to anyone looking to go down those finance paths. Along with that, GTE’s team is full of extremely resourceful individuals who are actively seeking to help drive intern’s professional development.
