About Generational Transfer Entrepreneurs:

Generational Transfer Entrepreneurs (GTE) is a private equity firm that operates on a variation of the innovative Stanford Search Fund model, an investment vehicle through which investors financially support an entrepreneur’s efforts to locate, acquire, manage, and grow a privately held company. We have created a supportive network to assist MBA graduates and experienced managers, who aspire to become the CEOs of the nation’s small businesses and whom we call Operators-in-Residence (OIR’s), with financial investment and an experienced advisory board.

Who GTE is looking for:

We are looking for currently enrolled MBA students, who aspire to pursue the path of a Searcher after graduation, to work as full time summer Search Interns at GTE. Search Interns will work closely with their respective OIR’s and GTE’s management team to evaluate deals, generate leads and formulate initiatives to move GTE forward. You will be responsible for managing your undergraduate intern team’s progress within investment origination and prospective company outreach. You will also be expected to analyze research reports of companies and industries generated by your team.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage undergraduate intern team

  • Perform quality control for undergraduate intern-generated reports, financial modeling, outreach campaigns and leads

  • Track team’s performance and conduct weekly meetings

  • Help OIR’s plan and implement team initiatives

  • Lead commercial and financial due diligence

  • Generate leads and evaluate potential deals

  • Train and onboard new team members

  • Interface with business owners, brokers and potential investors to source opportunities

  • Lead company development teams

Key Job Requirements:

  • Current MBA Candidate with at least 2-3 years minimum operating experience in a managerial capacity

  • Extensive knowledge of search funds and Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition

  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Highly detail oriented, strong sense of accountability and capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be assertive

  • Excellent relationship building and ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with management and executive presence

  • Ability to participate in all aspects of strategic engagement planning initiatives

  • Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills, with a strong understanding of financial statements and common valuation techniques
