Alex E. Turner

Fall 2017 intern

What is your education and other notable interests?

I am a member of the University of Pittsburgh class of 2017 and majored in Economics and History.

What was your favorite part of GTE?

What I loved most about my experience at GTE was the welcoming atmosphere and being surrounded by bright minds. Having the opportunity to both listen and discuss real world situations with the OIR's and fellow interns proved a fantastic hands-on experience. In addition, I was able to gain a great deal of exposure into various niches of finance and business through both the work I accomplished as an intern in addition to the series of speakers who came to the office which I always enjoyed. I highly value my experience as an intern at GTE and it gave me a bearing as to what specific areas of the industry I saw myself launching a career in.

What are your future plans?

I am currently working in the financial control group at Morgan Stanley in their Baltimore office since May and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I really enjoy the company culture and am excited to see what lies ahead!
