Pittsburgh, PA October 2017 - Generational Transfer Entrepreneurs (“GTE”), is pleased to announce that 24 Private Equity Analyst spots were filled through a rigorous search of the top MBA and Bachelor's programs in the country for the 12 week fall semester. Along with the fall class interns, 2 interns from the summer cohort stayed on to continue their work. GTE used a meticulous process to assess the roughly 200 applicants and select the best 24 candidates for the fall cohort.
The interns were separated into three teams, each one headed by one of the Operators-In-Residence (“OIR”). These teams have been identifying potential acquisition targets and presenting preliminary proposals for their OIR’s. Then if the initial proposal is accepted by the OIR the teams are analyzing the companies with financial model valuations and research industry reports. Each team will also have two analysts on one of four sub-groups, related to their career concentration and experience. This allows them to gain experience working on company development teams with their peers, while also honing their technical skills. GTE also regularly invites guest speakers and industry leaders to speak with the company on relevant topics and current events in their respective industries and markets. GTE does this to educate and mentor cohorts on a variety of industries and enable analysts to further develop their own careers with pertinent career advice.
This is the second search team for GTE. Several of the incoming residents have ties to a wide variety of universities, from Columbia University to The Pontifical Catholic University of Chile to Carnegie Mellon University. The incoming class boasts a unique and diverse group with multiple ethnicities and analysts proficient in six different languages. GTE looks forward to having the analysts learn to create individual and professional goals while evaluating deals, generating leads and formulating initiatives.
